Eco Guide - Introduction

If I am not for myself, who is for me?
When I am only for myself, what am I?
If not now, when?
-R. Hillel, Ethics of our Ancestors

Living ecologically is easy but furthermore living ecologically sustains our planet, purifies our bodies, and enriches our minds. In order to attain a more ecological lifestyle, changes will have to be made. This guide was written for you, learn and apply from it as much as you can to improve your life and our planet.

The Purpose of this Guide

We live by many principles, one of which is that knowledge and information should be shared. We developed this ecological living pocket guide to give the world a breadth of information to help improve our lives and our planet. We wrote this guide for anyone with the desire to live a more sustainable lifestyle. Whether you are new to eco-living or a seasoned veteran, hopefully we are providing you with a comprehensive, concise, and content-rich guide to help improve your life.

Who We Are

We are permaculturalists. We are sustainability experts. We are fathers and we are mothers. We are neighbors. We are friends. We are people of the world.

We are staff, students and interns in the Kibbutz Lotan Center for Creative Ecology. We are a group of like-minded individuals living in a co-operative community located in the Arava valley of the Israeli Negev desert. We have devoted many years to teaching ourselves and others the value of and practices for living a more sustainable lifestyle. We would like to share this information with you with the hopes that you will also share what you learn. Mazel Tov!

We are grateful to Eli Gregory (Belua Developing) for coordinating compilation of the materials for the Eco Guide and originally publishing it as a Free iTunes App
