Courses and Workshops 

7-week Intensive Green Apprenticeship 

Our core work/study program, where participants gain both practical skills and theoretical knowledge in alternative building, organic gardening, sustainable system design, and community planning. Participants learn how to understand and create alternative solutions for the issues facing the modern world.

5-month Comprehensive Green Apprenticeship 

Builds on the core program, weaving in Hebrew, Israeli culture and history, educational trips around the country, and more. MASA grants are available for eligible participants.

 4-month Peace, Justice and the Environment University Semester 

15 August – 15 December 2010 

Unconventional study abroad experience, in partnership with the organization Living Routes. Courses include sustainable ecological design and building, organic gardening, peace building and social justice, and group dynamics. Hands-on work and experience in all areas, both onsite at Kibbutz Lotan and in other communities throughout Israel. Awards 16 college credits and MASA grants are available for eligible participants.
